Leadership Programs

for Emerging and New Leaders

*Creating Successful Supervisors and Magnificent Managers*

Our signature program provides emerging leaders and high potentials the tools, frameworks and leadership techniques as they step into new leadership roles. The Leadership Program for Emerging and New Leaders will prepare new supervisors and managers for the challenges of leadership. The people who join our program are talented and extremely dedicated to create a work environment that drives respect, excellence and consistency.

WHY: Eliminate the Needs and Anxieties of New and Emerging Leaders

The Emerge Leadership Group says in the past three years, that proportion has gotten even worse. They found that between 2005 and 2008, the percentage of people who have successfully transitioned to management positions dropped from 25 percent to just 16 percent. Implementing an ongoing training in place is the answer. A one-day class will not cut it. For that matter, a one-week class will not cut it. Ongoing, intermittent management training with feedback and coaching gives managers a way to learn, practice, and improve their efficiency and effectiveness as they progress.

The “The Wall Street Journal Guide to Management” by Alan Murray says managers:

  • Are surprised by how constrained they are

  • Must earn respect and trust to exercise authority

  • Must nurture a strong common commitment to shared goals

  • Must focus on building a team culture – group norms and values

  • Be responsible for recommending and initiating change

According to “Manager 3.0: A Millennial’s Guide to Rewriting the Rules of Management,”millennial managers enjoy hearing the opinions of their teams and working together to solve problems. It’s about partnership, collaboration and relationships. Gen Y values relationships, and one of the things they take pride in is being able to build a relationship with employees. This is changing traditional management practices.
