"Networking" - this is a buzz word I hear all the time whether at work, in social/community circles, at church or when spending time for friends. We have been taught networking is the way to meet people, get new business contacts or get a new opportunity. It meant registering for networking events with the local Chamber, joining a community group or walking up to strangers with a business card and introducing yourself. This article redefines the traditional networking model. The tips offered are more aligned with my personality and personal preference for interacting with people, particularly ones I am just meeting and/or getting to know.
